A New Site - Just for you…

Well, we have been hard at work on the free css shoping cart, and we realized, we want more input! So, we decided to build a website! The great thing aboutthe new website is that it will allow all of our posts to be commented on. That way we can ask simple questions and get simple answers without us having to bug you through e-mail every time.

Anyway, we are enjoying working on this cart! We know you will love it as much as we do already!

Until our next update, subscribe to our RSS feed to stay updated. We will send out e-mails for major updates! Don’t worry, the forum will be comming soon as well!

My heart sank a bit when I read that it’s a hosted cart. I really hope you all allow this to be used on everyone’s servers.

I’m confused about why you compare it to oscommerce and zencart in your features list when I wont even be able to use this on my or my client’s servers.

    Bummer.

We understand your frustration, we will be looking into what else we can do as far as allowing the hosting on other servers.

Darn. Just seen that on the \’about\’ page that this is going to be a hosted product. :(

I\’m very unlikely to be interested … having my sites and my clients\’ sites entirely reliant on one company isn\’t an option.

Despite the best efforts of some of the Zen Cart dev team to make it otherwise, the Zen Cart script is still usable and most importantly open source.

Nevertheless, good luck with this project - hopefully the competition will wake up the current offerings! :)

Another vote for punBB - it does only what a forum should, and does it *fast* compared to the bloaty vb. A good example of its use is at http://forum.textpattern.com/.

Looking forward to some solid details of this cart - get it right and there will be a stampede away from Zen Cart! :)

You may also want to check out Vanilla, now at version 1.0 for fourm.

    so stoked for this!

BTW, another cool forum option is Vanilla - http://getvanilla.com/

I think the “Vanilla” forum software would fit in very nicely with your site style.

Right up your street i would say.

Some screens would be cool. This has the potential to be a big hit!

unless you need all the features of vb then you won’t be sorry. but make sure punbb has what you need.

If the car works at least as nice as your site and can’t wait to see it :)

Is there any timeframe to the first Alpha?

Best wishes and thanks for your work.

By the way, it would be a great addition if you add Subscribe-To-Comments to your Wordpress-based website hint hint ;)

Thanks for the compliments! We are actually going to use vbulletin for the forum software. We have tried invision, phpbb, and if you ask me vbulletin surpasses tham all with invision in a close second. Although we have not tried punbb, we will take a look. Thanks for the suggestion!
